Unhappy I was looking at my hockey equipment...

... and I realized I didn't need to go get my skates sharpened this week.

Welp, I'm definatly up for a game on ice if anyone else is interested. One last "offical" game would be nice since I got screwed out of my last three games
But that's up to everyone else.

Unfortunately, we have a problem with people saying they'll show, and then bailing on us. None of us want's to get stuck with 2 hours of ice split 4 ways.

Maybe I'll set up a paypal account, and we can just have folks pre-pay for their time. If they don't show up, then no refunds. If we don't get enough pre-pays, then we simply wait til the next week.

Tom - that is an AWESOME idea! We should use that method for our "keep in shape" skates during the summer

As far as I can tell, 2 people bailed that said they would show (me being one of those) that would have made 6 people total. Seems to me we had a lot more players before the 2 times only 4 people showed. Maybe if more people had attempted to make phone calls to the others to play, there would have been a better turn out. Apparently it takes less effort to whine and cry in this forum than to pick up a phone and make a call. Now I know why Frezza didn't want to be involved in that part of it cause he wasn't getting any help.

That's the only crying I've seen so far. Gimme a break, we're talking about 5 or 6 phone calls. If you weren't getting any help, we'd have stopped playing a month ago when you stopped showing up. At least no one told you they were gonna make some calls and then not do it.

I did make the calls, even on the weeks I wasn't there. If someone else had called anyone, how come nobody showed up?
If anyone else would have made calls, they would have found out that half of them aren't home, some of those have answering machines, but you never know if they get the message. Besides, we knew it was slowing cause of warm weather. I agree with the pre-pay idea, that way you know how many are coming, if they don't show, then the ice is still paid.
