Praise from Gino, he who can shoot pucks at watermelons

But it's the Toronto-Islanders series that has turned into a real war, much to Odjick's delight.

'I'm proud of the way Toronto played," said the native of Maniwaki, Que. "They went into a hostile building and played hard.

"Everybody was out to get (Gary) Roberts and they still competed."

Odjick was excited at the possibility that three Canadian teams -- Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto -- may end up in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

"Everyone's cheering for the Canadian teams," said Odjick. "We're fighting against all odds -- bigger payrolls, less taxes on the other (U.S.) side. . ."

Then, he learned into a reporter's microphone and added: "If there's any fans listening out there -- cheer for your boys at home."
What a loveable brute he is!
"Keeps going like this, the Zamboni driver is going to be the first star."
