Ohh boy - ouch!
I wanna see a Montreal vs Boston first round matchup - could be very interesting!
With Montreal's win today over Ottawa, the NY Rangers are mathematically eliminated from the playoff race.
The Habs now have a 5 point lead over the Capitals for the 8th seed in the East.![]()

It will be cool to see the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge in the playoffs.
Sorry PJ, maybe NYR will learn to play as a team next year.![]()

So where do the Rangers go from here? Does Lowe get Das Boot??, How about Sather??

Look at the big name players that won't be in the playoffs now. Bure, Lindros, Nedved, Fleury, Messier.........I've gotta be forgetting some.
Nice to see the Islanders in though.
C'mon Montreal, just one more win...

Vive Les Sabres!
The Fat lady sung well before they were mathmatically eliminated.
Im optimistic for next year though, some better defense, and a new coach and this team has a legitimate shot at the cup.
They decide to go on a 4 game winning streak now, a little too later. Nedved decides to start scoring now, again too late.
Bure and Lindros are playing amazing together. In fact they have been on the same line for 9 games now, and Bure has 9 goals, and Lindros has around 7. Rucinski(sp?) also compliments them well.
I dont think Fleury will be back next year, this was the last year of his contract. Unfortunatly, I also don't believe Richter will be back. I see Cujo commin to broadway.
Management has said they are gonna shell out even more money this summer, so it should be interesting as to who they get. Im pretty sure Holik will be a ranger (man I hate that guy, but would love for him to be a Ranger).
Welp, thats about it.
ill be rooting for the Blues, or Toronto, or Montreal, or the Oilers this year.
