    Thumbs down

Its over...The fat lady has sung. 5 years in a row now with no playoffs. I dont think any of you's have any idea how fustrating this is.

    Next year...Mess behind the bench.

Another playoff season of rooting against the Devils, instead of cheering for the Rangers.

And last night's loss to the Isles didn't help at all.

No offense to Rangers fans, but, they are F***** bg stylee.

AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, sorry I can't help but laugh, I'm sure the Rangers are a fantastic team but their management SUCKS. We've all heard of the "Yankees' effect" where you buy playoff success, how about the "Rangers' effect" where you buy a shot in the foot every year! Key to long term success in the NHL, - a quality front office, look at NJ and Colorado (to a lesser extent I'll admit) if you want a model.

No rangers in the playoffs, which since the Bure trade is really no surprise at all......

How many years have Bure and Lindros on their contracts, thats how many years the Rangers have before they can consider making the playoffs. Unless they trade them, but I can't see that happening, the Rangers already are a team of prima donna's, why trade the biggest two in the game.

Sorry boys, two bad you got lumbered with those two, but I can't help but laugh, what did the Nordiques get for Cry Baby, let me see........

Foppa, (STILL THE BEST 2 WAY FORWARD IN THE GAME, and he'll be back soon, can you hear the shaking the the West, thats the Wings quaking in their boots cos they know another PT will be for nothing if he returns to the Avs)

    OOODLES of cash

    Trade picks.....

(I'm too drunk to work it out... but I read somewhere that just about every new addition to the team that contributes something owes somthing to that trade, ie, the Avs got a draft pick that became (for example) Deadmarsh, who became Bourque, who helped us win a Stanley Cup..., have a feeling even Mr Roy came over in exchange for something we got from that trade, who knows without the great cryer that is #88 I might be a Habs fan!!! )

Poor poor Rangers fans, take note though, what happened to the Avs after they traded Lindros,... they went from nothing to a contender and won the cup, the Flyers, well we'll see but they look pretty damn strong to me...

I'm not intending this as a slight on any player who plays for the money (and I would never include that fantastic ex Star, Mr Hull, "If it weren't for the money I wouldn't play this game.") or for the personal glory (and I specificaly am not thinking of that new Ranger, Mr Bure) or even the player who plays cos he thinks he is something important when on the scale of things he is miniscule and doesn't by a long shot make a team (Mr Lindros) cos they are all fantastic players who bring so much more to any hockey team than I could ever hope to do so..... I'm simply making a few observations.

Man, could you BE more wrong? First of all, you have totally taken Brett Hull's comment out of context. He was complaining about officiating and the pace of the game. He said his family doesn't watch it and he wouldn't either and then that remark. It was emotion. Next time you throw quotes around about "ex" stars, check your highlighter for color, you must have run out!!!

Ex star, give me a break. And Ray Pork wasn't an ex-star in Colorado.. You need to shorten your posts, you're using too much type to show how dumb and uniformed you are!!

Some terribles ones, that is. Nobody wears boots in Hockeytown, this ain't no cowboy country. Shaking? Cause on the Avs? Pluuulezz! I'm more worried about leaves blowing in the wind.
I think Roy is gonna get so mad at letting in pucks that he's gonna shake that melon off his shoulders. I'm sure he'll let in a few just from wandering out of the net.

Yes, we all know coloradon't havachance in winning the Conference Finals. I doubt they even make the top 3 at the end of the season. All the Avs fans are just Quebec bandwagon jumpers anyway. Remember the Colodado Rockies? If that place had any decent fans, that team would still be there. Instead, they get another city's hand-me-downs. Not really theirs, but since they are better than the Rockies, they will cheer for them like they are their own.

    Ok you are right...

We all knew that the best chance that the Avs had of winning the cup was for Paddy to have a stellar post season performance but... it isn't looking good. Last night I was very dissapointed.

Paddy just showed the frustration has got to him, maybe the Kasparaitis trade wasn't so great.... we don't have any offense, we're 0 for 4 now, (at least) this is just getting stupid, I know that we are missing the 'duk and Tangas is having an off season (brb... toast just went)...

Ah, beans on toast, typical british student food,.... if you are a yank or a canadian you wouldn't get it.... but to continue.....

yeah,..... thinking that the Foppa return not so good, just a good way to get a star injured.

The Kasparaitis trade... works if we have lots of offense, but the one thing that we are patently missing right now, is pucks hitting the opposition nets....

Roy lettin a rookie get to him, not good, not good at all...

not the place to say this but I think that the Rangers weren't the only ones to kiss good bye to their cup hopes with the trade deadline. And the Rangers defn. did kiss the playoffs good bye with the trade deadline.

I'll still guarantee that the Wings wont win the confrence and that even if they do, they wont win the Cup.

I could also still be wrong about the Avs, I'm not anywhere near the hockey genius that PL is......

Rock on Avs, I'll still be chearing to the death, and when the Avs season ends I'll start chearing go avs go 2003, but that won't happen till after they've brought the cup home, of course.......

Hey lanche, wasn't that you a couple of posts ago that said you didn't want to hear anyone using injuries or people not playing well as an excuse! It sounds like you have a few for your team.

I'm almost certain that the Wings had the most players in the Olympics. And after continued playing well with NO Excuses.

    Just something to think about.

point was that Tangas "off season" and 'duk being out of commision as it were isn't an excuse, I still expect them to win.

The point is that in loseing Niemo we have lost a lot of depth that allowed us to win games despite haveing a couple of guys off their games. Of course not winning games is going to have a knock on effect....

but of course, I still know that the Avs will win.

You do know that it takes a whole team to win, not just a few key players or else the team just crumbles.

Ok, yeah, that was kinda my point from the begining, I expect the Avs to be able to win even when they are missing a "few" "key" players like the 'duk.

They can't, don't know why, something needs to be fixed. Will figure it out, later.

Wings had the same problem last year, they lost basicly 3 players and boom they were done.

We are probably haveing this chat in the wrong location, want to start a new thread in a room that relates to the Wings Avs.....
