While I agree Avery is a sideshow, would this have gone this far if it was a 4th liner from the Atlanta Thrashers would said something like this? Probably not. Avery definitely brings it on himself.

I can't believe how much this was talked about, like you said, probably cause who he is. Should make the next Dallas-Calgary game interesting, if Avery is still playing for Dallas. What a distraction!
