    Canes add to record

with their 7th straight tie at home. Sami Kappanen scored with 11 seconds left to knot the game. The magic number for the Canes to win the division is 17 points either gained by the Canes or lost by the Caps.

We have got to start winning home games. The Caps are only 10 points behind us and we need some more cushion. if we can't win a damn game at home, how do we hope to do so in the playoffs?

That's friggin amazing! 7 ties in a row???

If rumors are correct, then there is gonna be a fire-sale in Washington today at the deadline - this should help the Canes in winning their division.

“I think we’re all pretty much sick of it. If it’s like kissing your sister, we’re just going to have to marry the girl because this is getting to be obscene.” — Coach Paul Maurice after Carolina extended its NHL record with a seventh straight home tie, a 1-1 draw against Montreal on Monday.

I wonder if Jagr will go, he was rumored to be on the block.

Relax Says we are playing good hockey right now, we just aren't catching any breaks. Our floor checking is good and we aren't having defensive breakdowns like we were earlier in the season. If Irbe gets in a groove we will have a chance to advance. Just pull against the Devils because we don't want to face them in the first round.

A tie is certainly beter than a loss, but I would love to see us win at home. Still, the Count is right, the Canes ar playing decently

i would also rather win than tie but those points from the ties help to shorten the season. Anytime you score with 11 seconds left and your goalie pulled the team will feel like they stole a point.
