Ferraro to St. Louis
The Atlanta Thrashers have traded center Ray Ferraro to the St. Louis Blues for a fourth-round pick in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, according to Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell. The Thrashers now have 21 players on their active roster.
Ferraro, 37, has 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) and 66 penalty minutes in 61 games for the Thrashers this season. He is the Thrashers all-time leader in points (147), goals (56), assists (91) and games (223). Ferraro is tied for 78th place on the NHL all-time scoring list with 888 points. He shares 67th place on the NHL all-time goals list with 402, and ranks 100th overall with 486 assists. Ferraro has played in 1,243 NHL games, which ranks 42nd on the all-time games played list.
Sounds like a pretty good deal for the Blues.
