What is the NHL record for most points by a line? and what is considered a good yearpoint production wise for a line?

Well, you can't really have a record for that. Even if a given line stayed together for an entire season(pretty unusual these days), not all of the players points would be scored while their linemates were on the ice.

But, unoficially, I'd have to guess one of the lines with Gretzky back in the Oiler days. Prolly with Kurri and Messier on his wings.

Thanks that makes sense. Let me rephrase my question what is considered good point production for a teams top 3 scorers?

For the Pens I know there were 3 Super lines in the last 12 years or so...

1) Lemieux Tocchet Stevens (This line was dominate in the Cup Years)

2) Lemieux Jagr Francis (The Score Lords!!!

)

3) Kovalev Straka Lang (To a lesser degree)
