Yeah I'd have to pretty much agree with Wingwop, the team is basically the same team that was in the finals last year...Having a team that was ONE win away from being the Stanley Cup champs for a second straight year should have been a good thing, but it's not...The two big problems I see is, one, they are basically the same team and I think that is causing them to become stale and lackluster...Now how in the world getting paid many millions each year causes someone to want to work less playing a game is pretty strange but that is a whole other issue that goes beyond hockey...The second problem is that the team is one year older and some of those guys are just beyond their prime, mainly concerning defense...Seeing as they have played more hockey in the last few years than any other team in the Leauge, being one year more beyond their prime is NOT a good thing...Now they did shut out Dallas but one shutout is not four rounds of tough playoff hockey and I think that is important...Besides even the worst teams can get a shutout once in a while...Something tells me that big Lou will pretty much leave the team the way it is and let them determine their own future...And if they don't make the playoffs or don't perform well in the playoffs he'll take a look at where the obvious problems are and work from there...I don't see any blockbuster deals being made with this team...Lou's never really done that and I don't see him doing it anytime soon either...
