What goalies are going at the trade deadline?

The most interesting trade rumor I heard yesterday during the Hockey games I was watching is Cujo's name being thrown around St. Louis and Chicago! This has got to mean Toronto is looking at getting somebody to replace Cujo now - a new #1 guy. Eddie Belfours name was mentioned as a possible replacement in Toronto & Philly.

Carolina is definetly gonna do something with one of it's goalies - and the consensus seems to be Barasso is going to be history.

Another goalie teams *may* be looking at in the next week or so (up to the March 19th trade deadline) is Mike Vernon. He just cleared waviers and is going down to the minors for a conditioning stint - teams will be watching him.

The canes kept weekes as a scratch last night and did not play barasso, something has to go down soon, we can't afford 3 goalies and need a lw.

I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but, what a weird situation in regards to goaltenders.

The way I see it, Belfour should be dealt before the trade deadline, which makes him the best option for Toronto or St. Louis. Barrasso will be gone too. Somehow, I think Carolina's looking for a three team blockbuster that will no doubt involve the Rangers.

I know it's been said a thousand times all over this site, if this pissing contest between Quinn and Cujo leads to Belfour or Barrasso taking the wheel, Quinn should be removed!! He's starting to remind me of Bobby Clarke and there isn't room in a cup starved city like Toronto for a head case like that. Besides, after getting ripped by the Wings, Scwabb has looked much better. They could ride out Cujo's injury and try to strengthen up the D a little bit. What will Quinn do? Something stupid no doubt.

A couple weeks ago I would have put Richters name as potential trade bait, but its not looking that way anymore(thank god).

I'm not so sure about that. Although, it helps that there are so many available goalies. We're going to MSG on 3-17, I'll be anxious to see if Richter or Blackburn gets the nod.
