That would put a real damper on the Islanders/Rangers rivalry. They said Belfore is on the way out of Dallas. Maybe it's for him.

So Maybe the trade in the "Mother of all Rumors" thread has something to do with this. After the Rangers deal Richter to the Blues, the are trading Theo for belfour??

I dont think I like that. Theo plays with passion, something the Rangers need more of.

And yur right, the whole Rangers-Islanders Rivalry just wouldnt be the same without watchin Theo take runs at Cairns.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm....

Actually, I've heard that he would waive his no trade clause. He's apparently trying hard not to rock the boat anymore. Besides, even if he won't waive the no trade clause, they'd pull some waiver-wire bullsh!t that amounts to the same thing. Gotta love loopholes!!

I also heard that they had a deal completed that would have sent him packing, but right when the deal was reached, he wound up in rehab. They didn't give details on to which team and for who though. By the way, that was on ESPN Insider.

A well written article on the Rangers and Theo. Basical bashin the Rangers, and giving Theo Praise.

    Theo's Choices

Theo could become a true Ranger, revert back to the perimeter, give a real
effort every couple of games, and collect his sizeable paycheck. Thankfully,
    he's refusing to do that.

His other option, which is to play with emotion, makes him stand out in the
Rangers environment like Kate Moss at a Jenny Craig convention.

    Typical NY Ranger corporate culture

Those that point the finger at Theo should look in the mirror. They are the
same people who are ALWAYS shortsighted in their view of players. This team refuses to build an environment where players can succeed, and instead harps on each player's flaws as reason for their failure.

Instead of respecting what we do have - either with developing prospects or
valuable veterans - this Ranger corporation continuously drives fan interest
by purchasing what they can't buy or cultivate themselves.
