    St Pats - Green Day!

Just a reminder that the Leafs will celebrate their 75th anniversary by wearing the uniforms of the Toronto St. Pats tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.

Players will be decked out in green-and-white St. Pats jerseys, brown pants, brown gloves and brown helmets. It marks the first time in franchise history that the team will not be decked out in blue and white since Feb. 17, 1927, the day the franchise name was changed from St. Pats to Maple Leafs.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special pre-game ceremony honouring the top 25 Leafs, as selected by a group of hockey experts and Leafs watchers. Among those elite Leafs of yesteryear who will be on hand include Ted (Teeder) Kennedy, Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower, Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark.

Green flags and tuques will be handed out to fans entering the Air Canada Centre

*LOL*...My girlfriend came home from work while I was watching that game and after a few minutes asked who was playing and I said the team in green was Toronto...I said it was Toronto playing Buffalo...And she said that those were ugly green jerseys that Toronto was wearing and asked if that was their normal jersey...*LOL*...So I had to explain what was going on and she seemed to remember that Toronto had the blue and white with the big Maple Leaf as a logo...Kind of a funny moment I thought...But wow, how about that unfortunate incident during the ceremony???...I thought at first that poor guy was just tripping on something but when he still didn't come out I was really worried for the guy...Has anyone heard an update on him???...The way he collapsed it was like he was having a heart attack. And then a second delay of game when they broke the glass...A pretty wild game in the overtime though I have to say I enjoy that four on four!!...

P.S.--Man it looks like Toronto's arena is pretty cool!!...Maybe I can catch a game there someday!...

FLII ME--Yes I just read the game recap on NHL.com...I wish all the best to Mr. Jackson's family and friends!

P.S.--Who knows maybe he'll still be back to the arena to watch the Leafs and their playoff run.
