    Leadership Question

This has come up a lot lately and if Jason Smith was the right choice for captain. I believe when Smith was named captain in September, it was the first mistake that MacT made. How can he name someone captain that's only been with the team since March 1999. If I were MacT, I would never have chosen Smith to be captain of this young team. There are players on this team that have been longer with the team yet they weren't named captain. If it were me who had to chose, I would have gone with Smyth as captain and Marchant, Niinimaa, Smith and Brewer as the assistants.

I dont know much about edmonton, but I think Marchmant would be a very logical choice to be the captain!

Maybe that's an indication that when their contracts are up, Edmonton will have to let them go. Hell, they can't afford anyone up there.
