Any comments on Jason Allison trade rumours?

What do you think he should get for a contract?

    Your trade ideas?

Who would you trade from your favorite team to get him?

I think Boston *REALLY* screwed themselves over when they signed Marty LaPointe for that huge contract! What were they thinking??

I don't think the Bruins screwed themselves at all. Many teams were in the running for Lapointe and were offereing him roughly the same amount of money. The Bruins though offered him the best contract so Lapointe took it. I'm glad for once the Bruins actually outbid some teams, that doesn't happen very often.

    Is it to much?

Depends on what kind of year Lapointe has. If he can score 20 goals, play his usual tough style, and works his butt off I'll be happy. His play should rub off on the rest of the team which should help the Bruins make the playoffs.

Marty Lapointe is a good and proven player, but without Allison, the Bruins can forget about making the playoffs. It looks like this might get resolved soon, which is smart and will save MOC his job (although I'm sure he's not the one holding this back).

Why the Bruins and Leafs have decided to piss off their true stars is beyond me!
