The NHL go back to the OLD All Star format; East vs. West.

I for one, would like to see that mainly on the basis that roughly 65% of the league is Canadians and Americans. And the other 35% makes up the World team. It just seems horribly misproportioned.

Actually in the early days it was the rest of the league vs. the previous years champs. And those games got really nasty according to the stories I read.

Change it up, keep it fresh. How about an All-Star game with all the players with substance abuse problems against the best in the league?

Doesn't really matter much to me... not much of a game really... in a way, it is cool to see teammates play against each other, I suppose... ???

Tom, I thought I hated Gary Bettman, but you, well, I think you take the cake.

I also forgot about what Ken said, that the previous years champs should play the league All-Stars, but that wouldn't really work well, until there's some sort of salary cap. Players are starting to move around a bit more like baseball than they did in the 50's.

Oh and Darth, I agree with you too. The game doesn't seem like much of a game to me as it did in the early '90's.
