    Rested and ready!

While all of the other teams had their players getting hammered on at the Olympics, the Habs got rested up, and ready for the drive to the playoffs.

IMHO, Theodore should have been selected to the Olympic team, and I expect when the World Cup happens 2004 that his name will be at least considered.

If Montreal is going to make the play-offs he's going to have to stay hot. It'd be nice to the Leafs, Habs and Sens all going in the East.

The only way the HABS are going to go to the playoffs is if Gilmour can carry them till the end

LOL! You're definitely a Laffs fan.
Gilmour has been playing well, but he ain't gonna carry anyone these days. At least not on the ice. I'm sure his leadership helps out a lot though.

The guy that's gonna carry the Habs to the playoffs is Theodore. He better at least get a Vezina nomination out of this season. He's been simply fantastic between the pipes.

Assuming they can score a couple goals each game, he'll give them a good shot at winning. The forwards really need to step it up though.

I have a feeling is Montreal makes a really good run for the playoffs - Saku Koivu will attempt a return this season.

Sorry Case, I should have clarified myself, when I said Gilmour, I am referring to experience, and motivation. Gilomour is a gritty, stick it to your mouth kind of player. If he can get them pumped up and focusing in the right direction with Theodore playing excellent hockey, Montreal should be able to put a streak in.

Yeah, I think Gilmour can definitely be an emotional leader.

I hope the team gets a lift from having Saku skate with them at practices. It'd be great to see him back on the ice for the playoffs.

Gilmour's done some good things in his carrier. If you need him to carry you through the playoffs, it'd be a long golf season this year. JK. They just need to get healthy. There aren't too many names on that team I'm well versed in but it seems like all their "players" are injured. It's that damn government run medical debockle up there. Nobody gets better in Canada!!

    Hehe...
Montreal has had some really bad luck with injuries the past several years.
It seems that whenever a guy starts to look like he'll have a great season, he goes out for a while.

Yeah, and it's never a Red Wing style injury like a groin, knee, or thumb. It's serious sh!t like cancer and broken feet.

    You think that's bad?
I have a black ass cheek from Saturday night. I'll say it again: when you get checked, if you're not ready to take the hit, just absorb it and go down EASY. When you fight it, you're gonna get hurt a little bit!!

Good point, but I just don't see Montreal (deppite being a Habs fan) going very far into the playoffs. It helps that Theodore is French Canadian and they tend to get hot in the playoffs and take teams to the Cup (ie: Roy '86). Maybe I'm just being too negative.

The other side of the coin says that this team is a lot like the '93 team that went all the way. Some good veteran leadership (Gilmour Brisebois) and a lot of speed.

Hehe... don't start making comparisons like that just yet... Although it does sort of fit.

If they would have defeated Ottawa, it would have been a great boost for them.
