May the Magnificent One stay healthy. Not just for the Pens but also for Team Canada. Heck the NHL needs one of it's superstars burning up the score sheets, Mario's return from injury couldn't happen at a better time.
Last 4 games for Mario include:
4 wins
2 4 point nights
1 5 point night
Look out Eastern Conference![]()

Gretzky my ass, Case Sensitive. Lemieux is the greatest!!!

Another reason for the Devils to be nervous!!!...Or more importantly, to get their act together!...Wow, the Pens are just flying through the standing lately, Lemieux has definitely got this team playing with confidence again...They are like a whole new team now...Like Lindros and the Rangers, if Lemieux is playing well, the team plays well...
About a comment earlier...With ALL DUE RESPECT to Mr. Gretzky, I just think Mario Lemieux is the greatest player in the history of hockey...But that's just my opinion...I think he's got the best hands the league has ever seen, some of the moves he's pulled off and still does is just amazing...It took quite a while for the Pens to get the kind of team mates for Mario that Gretzky had with Edmonton almost immediately at the start of his career...But BOTH men are great players and have done more than their share for the NHL...In fact I sometimes prefer to say they are BOTH the NHL's greatest!

Go Habs Go!!!
The worst thing is the cancer and back injuries that Lemieux's had to deal with...He's missed SO many games that we'll never know if he could have made a run at any of Gretzky's records...Then again his wonderful 161 point run in '95-96 doesn't even come close to Wayne's 212 run during that record scoring season!!!...But what he's done while he has played and saving the Pens team while he was retired shows just how much he's meant to the league...Definitely as important as Gretzky in the league's history...

Don't forget in 88-89 Super Mario had 199 points (85G, 114A) ... in only 76 games... he missed 6 due to his back, I believe...
That is 2.62 points per game, and if Mario were able to play those extra games, and score his avg points, he'd have ended up with 215-216 points that season... all with still not much of a supporting cast... amazing!

OK, apparently the MOJO went into the tank...
The Pens are VERY frustrating this year. After the good streak, they've pretty much sucked.![]()
I hear Straka will be back after the Olympic break... ahead of schedule.
That should help out a lot too... I hope.
