I would appreciate it if you guys would pound the caps tonight.
I'll let you guys know what kind of reaction Jaromir gets if anyone is interested...
I'll be there, proudly wearing my Jagr Penguins authentic home jersey... with the 1993 100th anniversary Stanley Cup patch and all![]()

Yeah, at this point, I think we would take ANY points we can get... hell, I'd be happy with a lousy tie at this point...Originally posted by Count Cane

Well, after a broing First Period (game wise), except for some spectacular Hedberg saves, the 2nd and 3rd periods were AWESOME!
Great game overall!
As for Jags, He was booed pretty good. I did not boo, however.
The high point for Jagr, however, was on a TV timeout with about 5 minutes left in the 1st. The jumbotron starts showing fabulous Jagr goals from the Stanley Cups years and scoring titles, etc... the booes started to quiet down, and the crowd started to cheer, then it became a roar! We gave Jormir a good 2 minute standing ovation!
I had tears coming from both my eyes. It was very emotional, as Jagr has always been my favorite player... My friend looked over at me, and basically thought I was a wuss for crying, but I couldn't help it. It was just awesome.
Maybe someday, we will get Jaromir back... just like Mario!
68 will always be a Penguin!

haha...The Boos turned into a 2 minute standing ovation
Your not a wuss, I had the same reaction to the tribute to Messier when he came back to the garden as a member of the Canucks. Actually this year when Graves came back as a shark got a bit emotional too.
Maybe we are both wusses?

Well, you guys were lucky enough to get your main guy Messier back... I just hope that'll happen someday with Jaromir... but I doubt it will ever happen.
Thing is, Jagr just signed that contract extention with Washington, but I just can't picture him being happy in that system.
For him to truely flourish, he needs to be in a system like Pittsburgh... Since he probably will never come home to Pittsburgh, I could see him fitting in well on a team like the Kings, or the Avalanche... something more wide-open like he had in the 'Burgh...
