    Will the NHLPA eat itself?

Aparently Trent Klatt doesn't think Saskin was properly made head of the PA.

a group of more than 60 players has asked the National Labour Relations Board and the Department of Labour in the United States to investigate the practices used by NHLPA president Trevor Linden to hire Saskin to replace Bob Goodenow, who was forced to resign following the 301-day lockout.

The players don't believe Linden and Saskin used the proper channels and they've hired lawyer Robert Lanza to pursue the case.

"This could be resolved if (Saskin) just told the truth," Klatt said from his Minnesota home.
The boys signed a bad deal after being offered a slightly better one. That's got to sting a little, especially with having to deal with 12% of the paychecks cut for deferment. Not a happy group.

A lot has happened this weekend. First the most recent news:

Dissident NHL players make case before the U.S. labor relations board

Trent Klatt and 27 other NHLers, including Chris Chelios, Eric Lindros, Ed Belfour, Dominik Hasek, Glen Murray, Dwayne Roloson, Brian Leetch and Shawn McEachern, filed the charge on Sept. 28.

They are unhappy over what they believe was the improper hiring of new NHLPA executive director Ted Saskin, who succeeded Bob Goodenow in August.
And the big bombshell was dropped this weekend when Steve Larmer abruptly quit.

    Angry Larmer leaves NHLPA

Steve Larmer has left the NHL Players' Association, claiming the organization has returned to the "days of [Alan] Eagleson, when a select few made decisions for the group."
Wow! That is a pretty scathing claim to make. Eagleson ripped off the PA and the players he was an agent for, for millions in dollars.

The NHLPA is right now ripping itself a part. They were clearly beaten by Gary Bettman and the owners and now it looks like the players have turned on each other. Bad times ahead for this union.
