The New York Rangers have placed defensemen Sylvain Lefebvre and Darren Van Impe on waivers, Newsday reported on Tuesday.

Neither player has been claimed.

Lefebvre, who has recovered from offseason shoulder surgery, has this year and one more left at $5.1 million with a third-year option at $2.5 million.
