    NHL to buy Ducks?

    TSN article

If Disney tries to sell the Ducks for under what the NHL believes is fair market value, it will buy the team back from them.

I just hope that whoever owns the team will have the decency to change that stupid name to something, anything resembling a respectable sports team.

    Mighty Ducks... F*** YOU DISNEY!

Amen. That's why I wanted NJ to win the cup in 2003 when I found out they were playing the Mighty F***s. Even though NJ knocked my team out, I'd rather the "New Jersey Devils" be etched on the Cup than have the lame ducks ruining it forever Plus they knocked out Minny, who I wanted to win the west that year. Bastards.

Maybe they're rename them Los Angeles Mighty Ducks of Anaheim The California Angels sounded so much better.

    Thank you, thank you

I'm all for contracting them. Then the Kings will be the only show in LA, the way it should be. I'd also get rid of the Coyotes, Preds,Hurricanes,Panthers and Thrashers. That would make a 24 team league. Very close to the 21 team league before overexpansion. Work over the divisions and playoff format so that old rivals meet 8 or 10 times in the regular season then again in the playoffs constantly. The league is so watered down that the players don't feel the same type of "hate", for lack of better word, for eachother, like they used to when they played a team 8 times in the season, maybe once or twice in the preseason, then again 4-7 times in the playoffs.
