I liked ESPN's ranking comments about the Hawks this week. They said they normally don't feel sorry for millionaire athletes - but they feel bad for Tony Amonte and don't blame him a bit if he jumps that sinking ship as well.
Hello!!! Is anybody out there? WHERE ARE ALL YOU HAWK FANS. The hawks are going to win the cup! Forget Detroit. Sure the wings got Hasek (an ex Hawk), Lucky Luc, and Hull (sort of a hawk). Dude we got Korelov and Klem. We even got Steve stummpy Thomas back. Who care if we did'nt make the playoffs for the last sixty years we were just taking a break. Watch out Stevie Y, the hawks are back and were gonna win the Norris and the Cup. Dang, where did I put that crack pipe, need another hit......MUST HAVE ANOTHER HIT!!!!!!!!

I imagine the first match-up of Chicago vs. Toronto shall be a good one. All those former Leafs, that Mike Smith snatched up, must surely enjoy showing Pat Quinn what a mistake he's made.

Chris,
I love Amonte and wouldn't blame him one bit for leaving. He will leave too. But look at the list of people that left. Belfour Chelios Roenick. Chelios is a Chicago kid and he was quoted recently saying that the Lackhawks franchise is a joke. That what sucks is we have a terrible owner who won't spend money and all these good players leave. It seems hopeless.
Ken,
I would like to thank P. Quinn personally for giving us Steve Sullivan. That guy has been a treat to watch. As for Steve Thomas Ive liked him since his first tour with the hawks but I feel he is getting up there in age.
