    Marc-Andre Fluery

So.... can/should the Pens sign him and let him play? He's had a sensational pre-season!

Rookie has made a Fleury of saves

Fleury has done little wrong in the early part of training camp.
Marc-Andre Fleury, the first pick in this year's NHL draft, is already proving that he's ready to be an NHL goaltender. The 18-year-old, fresh out of juniors, has allowed only three goals on 53 shots in the preseason. He's 1-1 with a 1.52 goals against average. Fleury made 27 saves in a 3-2 Penguins win over Boston Sept. 23. He allowed only one goal in his pro debut, a 1-0 loss to Buffalo on Sept. 20. "He hasn't shown too many weaknesses, I'll tell you that," assistant general manager and former NHL goaltender Eddie Johnston said in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Sept. 25. "He's as good as I've seen come in this league in a long time. He looks like he has all the tools to be in this league a long time and be one of the best." The Penguins still have to sign Fleury by the Oct. 6 deadline. If unsigned, Fleury will return to juniors. Pittsburgh has three preseason games remaining and Fleury is guaranteed to get at least one or two more looks.
    Let's go PENS!

"Our eyes were as big as saucers watching Lemieux do whatever he wanted out there.'' -- Atlanta coach Curt Fraser.

With the Pens financial situation, they probably won't sign him and let him go back to the Juniors. It would definetly be interesting if they dropped somebody else and signed him if he really is THAT good...remember, it's only pre-season when clubs are playing half rosters if that.

I agree... that is pretty much my assesment as well... however, it would be VERY exciting if he could be lead all these young kids to a respecible season... it'd be great if all these guys gelled together at one time.
