Current Motown Muscle Board

With the present Motown Muscle board that is setup right now (Xoops - blah <G>), is there anybody, anyone that needs access to additional sections of the board? What I mean is, are there moderators or people that need their access taken away and given to someone else?

Put your wish list up here and I can take care of it.

You the man, Frez! I think everybody needs to get added to the officers to the final four forums. Not that ChasingStanley hasn't served us well!

I think the moderators were all going to stay the same, so what about al the people who are officers now? Should we tell them before we zap their access? We shouldn't just change it without telling them. Stenod was standing there while I was talking to Greg at Speedworks today, so he knows what's up with the board now. How should we handle this Sparky?

We wanted to streamline the forums and that was going to reduce the moderators - but they can stay as they are until then.

I'd like all club officers to have full access with Rick as the lead admin (that's under his job description!)

Chris: Give any thought (and price) to our proposal of building us a UBB board to our specs?

Give me a list of the usernames of the people you want added to the Officers section and i'll put them in.

Here is who currently has access to the Officers section:

I don't have access to the staff forum, and i think a lot of those names for officers/staff should be gone. Isn't there a way for us staff to have global access and privliges to be able to moderate any section??

The only people who should have access to the Staff forum are current officers and admin(s).

Unfortunately there isn't. The way this system is setup is a single person is assigned to a specific forum to Moderate. If you want to be able to moderate all the forums, you'll be listed as a Moderator for every single forum.

Want me to update that then? Yank out everyone else who currently has access and replace with your above list? I didn't know if you wanted to notify those people who currently have access - however, nobody ever really uses those sections now anyways.

Maybe somebody should put a post up... cough.. cough... Sparky or Rick... cough... explaining that in Mr Smith's absence (from reality) we have hacked the board, and are going to make a few changes. You can also use it as an excuse to get people to post up status probelms (member, non-member) and stuff like that.

Just a suggestion.

Is there also a way that I can go in and change peoples status from non-member to member? In the past Mike wouldn't give me access to anything. I was instructed to PM him with the new members and he would change it but since he went MIA things haven't changed and I've heard from a few members asking why their status hasn't changed.

Geoff, you're probably right that we should post something about the temporary changes we are working on to gain control of the current board. This would eliminate some of the confussion.
