I take it since nothing much has appeared on the posts from the Pacific Div. except for the Stars that all others just assume they have it won again.

Age won't hurt the wings, ego's and lack of grit could hurt 'em.
I wasn't a huge loss (in my opinion) to lose LaPointe but McCarty can't seem to stay healthy lately and we need Shanny scoring goals, not fighting the world.

The grittier teams like Edmonton and San Jose pose a bigger threat than puck control teams like Colorado and Dallas.

After fewer than 10 games, I seriously doubt that anyone can make any educated decisions as to who the "top" teams will be this year, let alone, who will win the cup.

The Wings are off to a great start, the Avs and Stars aren't doing as well. I haven't been follling the Avs, but the Stars have quite a few new faces that still need to adjust.

I'm going to wait until the Olympic break to start "picking" teams...
