That was a good, hard skate last night...whewww! I think we had 4 goalies taking turns as well

As for the NO HOOLIGANS statement - somebody who is not regularly part of our group brought some friends who were in the stands causing troubles. I believe they were breaking into the Senior Center and raiding their 50/50 raffle box. Needless to say at least one person was arrested.

So just to reiterate - NO HOOLIGANS

    Hooligans

I am not sure if you are referring to the people I brough, But the people I brought all skated. Those 2 guys in which you are talking about, were ****ing with Dwaynes girlfrend last night, Dwayne was #20 in the Belle Tire Jersey last night. I brought 5 people with me last night, none of which caused any problems. I resent the fact that you guys actually thought they were with me? I dont understand that at all? Just because this is my second week playing with you guys, I am going to get accused of bringing shady people with me? So please, We have done nothing wrong but we are still told **** like that....Do you not want us to return???

    One more thing

I forgot, those 2 guys that were causing all those probs, were not with us, if you really wanted to know, they were from the other rink and had nothing else to do. So it wasnt people from outside the group..Please get your facts straight. If you dont want us to skate with you guys, that is cool, just tell us, You told me you needed players, I could of had more there last night, but if we are going to get accused of things like this, that is just crazy. So let us know, if you want us to skate fine, if not, just tell us, it is really that simple, but I kinda get the feeling you dont want us around with a post like that

Buzzy: Sorry if we weren't clear. We knew that it wasn't anyone you brought. It was the friends brought by the guy wearing those yellow roller-hockey pants.

    No offence meant man.

    Blah

Sorry, I took it out of context, my bad, I was a little pissy after losing a game this morning. Although we won our game tonight, but again, my bad! It was a good skate, and I usually enjoy having 3 goalies, it allows us to always rotate! ;o)

Buzzy - I guess I should have been clearer when I made that post...DEFINETLY not you guys at all. I even think the guy who brought those hooligans was extremely pissed off at them for causing problems.

We defintely appreciate you coming out and bringing your friends to play - I had a blast. I hope we can keep it going

    Cool

Next skate, I can bring more guys out if you want, if we bring more people out, will the price of the ice go down, or will it remain 20 bones for all non goalies?

Well it's a good thing I didn't try driving to the last game, my Suburban has a bent driveshaft! That really pisses me off.

I see a lot of people saying see you next weekend at the next Skate - just thought i'd clarify this. The topic here says Next skate Feb 15th, which is not this Saturday - it's the following Saturday.

I'll be out of town and did not rent the ice for this coming Saturday. I took what was left of our money ($30) and put it down on the 15th from 11:30 - 1:30.

We all know what happened last time I wasn't there when I was outta time.

Buzzy - to answer your question on the pricing. What we've always done was charge $20 per skater (goalies always play free). We use whatever money is left over to put down as a deposit for the next skate - our goal is to eventually skate free one weekend. Ice is $120 per hour after 11pm - $160 per hour before 11pm. We've been having problems with people showing the last couple of months which is making it hard and nerve racking to make the $240 for the ice time.

I'm willing to keep it going as long as people will show - we've had the late night time slot for damn near 2 years now.

Now, just because i'll be out of town and Ken won't be able to make it this weekend either due to work arrangements doesn't mean you guys DON'T have to skate - all i'm saying is i'm not putting it in my name to others. I'm sure somebody else can take the reigns and call up the Arena and get the ice.

    Ice Time

    Hiya Guys,

Listen, You guys really dont know me that well, but since Chris is going to be out of town, I have no problem getting the ice, I will get ahold of a few more people to have them show up, I am sure we can figure something out. If we can have the people show up I would be more then happy to meet everyone up there, it is a good skate and I enjoy everyone. Although I was getting lit up out there, I still had a blast!

Chris - You suck, how about, I jump in my goalie bag, and you can just check it with your baggage so I can get a free vacation too! ;o) I am sure I would fit in my goalie bag, I wanna go to FLORDIA!!

Everyone, just let me know ifyou want to skate this saturday!

It seems like a lot of regulars we used to have aren't showing up anymore. Everytime we pick up a few good people that show up almost every time, we lose a few. If we had 16 regulars that skated every week, we could only charge $15 each to break even. But if you want to put a deposit down for the following skate, you have to go over the $240 mark. And since some weeks only 8 to 12 skaters show, you have no choice but to charge $20 a skater. I wish there was a way to make it less expensive, if you have any ideas, let us know. I just look at it as $10 an hour.

Saturday's skate was fun, I can't believe that guy broke off his skate blade! Then watching Tom bust his stick over the boards in a fit of rage was cool too. Having three goalies was good, cause they could rotate when they got tired. It was hard to remember who you were about to shoot at, every time it was someone different!

As far as the senior swindlers, I wasn't aware anything happened til we were done.

Hey I still wanna play, but my only problem is getting to the game. I never want to miss a game, it's too much damn fun! As soon as I get a new car I'll definatly make every game (unless I'm on a roadtrip )
I'm gonna be lucky if I get to work everyday this week, everyday something else goes on the truck, today the front seal on the rear end busted (probably because of the bent driveshaft). Yesterday the parking brake in the tranny quit working, luckly the push pedal parking brake still works ok. This came at the worst time too, I'm as broke as broke can be. If I get my Camaro running soon I'm gonna have to drive it everywhere.

New Boston is 2 miles south of the Metro Airport. It takes me alomst an hour to drive to hockey every Saturday, which I really don't mind. If Dave playes I'll try to bum a ride from him, or Denny if he ever plays again.
BTW I won't be able to play on the 15th, I've already got plans.
