    Marty's new deal

Anyone else surprised by Brodeur's new contract?

I didn't think tightwad Lou would be willing to fork out that kind of money, but at least unlike the Leafs, they realise they need to keep their superstar goalie happy and under contract.

I dont think he is worth what they are giving him. Sure he wins alot and sure his G.A. is good - But he has the support in front of him. Chit even I would be great If I only faced a few shots a GAME.

I think CUJO is worth more for what he does in the GAME with his "D".

No argument here. One can only imagine the numbers Cujo could put up if he had as solid a defence infront of him as Brodeur. Still Brodeur has by far the best puckhandling skills of any goalie.

I still can't believe Lou opened his wallet up, maybe Marty knows where the bodies are buried in the swamp!
