After hearing what happened on Saturday, I'm pretty disgusted. It looks like out hockey games might die here.
Come on people! It's not like you have anything better to do this time of year.

BTW Where was Mary-O, Vinny, Clark, etc.? Even if Frezz and I had been there, it still would have been near impossible to play much of a game.

I really don't want to see our get togethers die here. Especially so early in the season. Last year we kept it going til spring.

I don't know what to tell you man. I wanna play every week and am good for it. I think I have practically every Sat open till Spring now.

However I don't know if I wanna put my neck on the line for the ice anymore. I owe $80 to the rink now because nobody played last Saturday. Nobody seems to want to commit to playing - although some people will say they are coming out, we usually only have a core of 4-5 guys that are there every week.

I'm dedicated to keeping this going - but we need to know HOW we are gonna keep this going? Do we collect money in advance? Paypal?

obviously you cant get money from everyone in advance.. not everyone is on the boards or in contact with everyone. I can sometimes get someone to play from word of mouth.

However the rink will prolly start to want more than just a deposit of front, or best case a larger deposit.

I want to play, ive spent money i dont have on equipment to play. But its a waste of time and money to drive out not to play. I need to know that we are playing for sure before im in.

As you all know, unless I'm out of town, I play. But like Chris said, we can't just go woth a core of 5 or so guys. It doesn't work.
I'm not sure what to do to drum up more people. Dave, you did a helluva lot of promotion for this past Saturday, and it didn't turn out anyone at all beyond the guys who go anyway.

my goalie had plans.. so thats not a big deal..

I found out a little while ago, i had atleast 1 other guy coming for the 2nd hour and maybe 2 other from the game that was goin on till 12.

I can almost always get atleast 1 person that normally doesnt play with us, but i cant do this alone!!

Chris, let me know asap if we are playing and ill do more promoting and see what i can come up with.

I wanted to play so bad that I had to run out at 7pm and drive to Westland to get a new pair of hockey pants! Their a little big but I'll grow into them.

Anyway, if you guys will play, I'll play. I even got us a new goalie, and he'll show up every week too. He hasn't played in a long time, so he's not very good, but neither was I when I started, and look at me now (shut up, I know what your gonna say already).

I'll play this Saturday if you guys will. Who can reserve the ice?
