Leafs rookie defenceman gets a crack at the big club

The richest deal given a Leafs prospect -- three years at an annual base of $1.13 million US with bonuses that could take it between $6.3 and $10 million -- became the worst-case scenario for veterans such as Jyrki Lumme and Aki Berg.
This kid had an awesome camp, but still you have to worry about the Leafs bringing him in too soon. While they got lucky with Kaberle and Danny Markov, I think Nik Antropov was brought in too early, then got injured and hasn't played as well since.
