    Open Ice Times In September

I checked the available ice times in St. Clair Shores for September.
The $120 an hour rate starts at 11pm and someone else has a contract for most all the 12am to 2am slots. The rink won't book the late times til all the slots up to the 11pm ones are sold. So, this is what's available in September as of this time:

    Saturday, Sept. 14th 11pm-12am (1 hour)
    Saturday, Sept. 21st 11pm-12am (1 hour)
    Saturday, Sept. 28th 11:30pm-1:30am (2 hours)

The 10:30 slot is still open on the 14th and 21st, so if someone else takes that, we'll have a 2 hour slot open on both nights right after the 10:30 one on that rink. Maybe we can nail down the 28th for now at $240 for both hours if enough people are interested.

I could go the 14th also. If we want a two hour session, we could start at 10:30 and go til 12:30 but I imagine that the first hour would be at the higher rate. Or a one hour skate is cool too. Vince get his stitches out yet?

Alright then - i'll start e-mailing the people I know through e-mail to check the site here and see if we can get enough people for a good skate.

I would say an hour would be good for this Saturday.

I talked with blackplague through e-mail, he won't be available to come out this weekend to play in goal as he'll be out of town.

I spoke with Mario and he's definetly in. He's gonna call Vinny to see if he and his friends are available.

Kenny - give me a call whenever. I want to see who you have in your books to contact and if we got more e-mail addresses now.

I would like to play on the 21st, and the 28th. I might be able to play this Saturday. My wife and Jdeblers wife are going out of town and i have to see if i can meet them up there Sunday morning. By the way, I'm the guy at Jdeblers house when you watched the video. Is it O.K. if I play?
I will eventually play goal as that is what i did best years ago. Right now i just want to play.

Appreciated. You guys look like you play to have fun, minus a few stitches last game. I haven't been on the ice in a long time, so it won't be pretty. Should still be fun.

The only rule we have, is you gotta skate better than Debler.

Well, that can't be too hard. What is the checking rule? Are friendly bumps ok? I mean nothing like that, uh... devastating?, hit by Mario, of course.

Checking... yeah, we allow checking. Some guys, like Mario, Ken, Vince, myself, and a couple others will hit each other wherever and whenever. But many guys don't want to be blindsided, or hit with that kind of regularity or force. Basically, just look at who's going at it, and they're prolly cool to hit.

Cool, thats what pads are for. Being hit in the back is the only bad one when you not expecting it. Whiplash, ouch.

Well, it looks like we will not have enough people for the 14th, and I can't make it for the 21st, (but I can still call people if you guys want to go) I would really like to skate for 2 hours next time, so like I said earlier, who is interested in the 28th?

Hey Chris, do we got enough people for the 28th yet? Haven't heard from Mario or Vince.

Duke, is Denny still around? See if he can play too.

    Anybody got Wilson's number?

    Punisher, welcome to the boards!

We probably have a good amount for the 28th. I'm going away this coming weekend to Bowling Green Kentucky for the big F-body event...i'm definetly in for the 28th.

Mario left me voice mail yesterday asking about THIS coming weekend. He said Vince and his friends are available for this weekend as well.

Yea, I can't go this weekend either, but the 28th sounds like a 2 hour plan! If we get enough people maybe we can have enough money left over to make a deposit on another skate right then and there. After all, it's almost October and the NHL is in training camp!

Definatly a 2 hour skate, 1 hour just doesn't seem enough!

ICE IS RENTED FOR THE 28th!! Seems like enough people were interested so I put a deposit down for 2 hours on the Gardens rink from 11:30pm to 1:30am.

The 21st is still up in the air pending a few phone calls and getting enough people. Chris and I won't be there but there may be enough people to go. We'll have to wait and see.

I found someone that knows a couple goalies, so hopefully the days of one or no goalies are over!

Blackplague, can you make it for the 28th? Just want to make sure so there won't be too many or too few. Thanks!
