Wow. I certainly hope he pulls through... it must be REALLY bad, for HIM to consider being done...

I feel for you guys... I have gone through alot of this with my teams capatin as well... be happy, no matter what though, this guy has been so durable for you throughout the years...

At least Stevie Y is being smart about it. trying to come back before he is 100% and play through the pain could hurt the wings more than help.

on a side note: I just told a friend of mine, who is a wings fan, about the Stevie situation, and he's b!tching about it.

B!tching about it? In what way?

Wow... that'd be REALLY harsh if he was insinuating that Stevie Y is a wuss or something...

In my opinion, that guy is not a true fan if he is upset with Steve Y.

I honestly would rather him not play if he is still in pain, he is a Great Captain and I don't want to see him play when he is not 100% better, take all the time you need Stevie or if it has to be then retire you've done Great.

Well, it's to soon to tell, but if he retires, that's cool too. I'm sure he's thinking past his hockey days and still wants to walk, hopefully without a limp. His knees have to be so hacked up from all the operations they probably look like swiss cheese! If he still plays, he's going to be more like Igor the play maker instead of taking the abuse in the corners or behind the net. But I'm sure Pronger will be looking to take a hack at those knees!

No, h isn't *****ing about him wanting to sit out cause of pain, he's a big yzerman fan. he said he wants to keep watching him play, wants to continue to see him be an awesome player. he wasn't calling him a wuss, just lamenting the possibility that he wouldn't play.

    does that clear that up?
