    Alfredsson staying put?

This is huge, IMHO, for the Senators... Alfredsson is very underrated...

The Senators hope to sign team captain and leading scorer Daniel Alfredsson by week's end, the Ottawa Sun reported June 3. Alfredsson met with owner Rod Bryden before returning to his native Sweden June 2. Bryden made it clear that the Sens want their 37-goal, 71-point man back in uniform. The team hopes to sign its top player to at least a two-year deal possibly in the $5 million per year range, according to the Sun. If left unsigned, Alfredsson, who made $3 million this season, could file for salary arbitration July 15.

Especially now that he's learned how to play in the playoffs!

The Sens need to keep this guy if they want to continue to advance.

    But John Muckler??????
