does anyone know what happened? I know that it was 1-1 at the 2nd intermission. I read on the Canes web site that we had a skeliton crew and irbe and pelitier would split time. Better luck tommorrow. I think that last preseason Fla beat us 5-0 and we see where it got both teams. Oh well, just being a bitter loser...better luck tommorrow...

  :(

ESTERO, Fla. (AP) -- Finnish left wing Niklas Hagman scored three goals in his first NHL exhibition game as the Florida Panthers beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Hagman opened the scoring on a power play early in the first period, gave Florida a 2-1 lead with another power-play goal midway through the third, and completed the hat trick with an empty-net goal with 35 seconds remaining.

The teams will meet again Wednesday night in Sunrise.

Just REMEMBER its only PRE-SEASON so It dont count.:)

At least we redeemed ourselves last night...way to go Rod. I just read that DeFauw checked a guy so hard that it shattered the glass, I hope that this guys stays...we need a hard hitter like that. I also read that Tom Barrasso was very sharp in net.

:D

Though I like Brad (being a lifelong fan of the University of North Dakota and all), I should point out that the hit wasn't _that_ hard from what I am told by people that were there.

The Herculite/plexiglas panels will crack or shatter if they're hit in just the right way that sufficient pressure or force is applied to one point (like when Dave Karpa cracked a pane on the north end of the rink with a slapper that went high of the net back in February)--the puck caught the glass with an edge, which combined with the speed at which the puck was traveling caused the glass to crack.

Oh well, it still sound cool. and from what I have read (I do not know how true it all is), Brad is a pretty big hitter. Didn't he pass up a football scholarship to play hockey? I would like to see a football player on skates for our team...
whether it was a glass problem or not I would still pay top dollar to see Stevens go through the glass.

I'll pay top dollar to see that--and extra to see that little biatch-arse punk Turner Stephenson follow him.
