Easy goals?? How about the worst officiating I've EVER FU**ING SEEN. If I were Illich, I'd march the entire team off the ice and leave the playoffs right now. I can't believe all the interferences, boarding, cross-checking and goaltender interferences they're looking the other way for. This sh!t is corrupt. The Wings have already tied the series the way I see it, in game two they beat the Canucks and the officials!! This is truely and outrage!!! Hockey has sold out, thanks Gary Buttman, you've destroyed a sport!!!

I am with you Mario. That is some of the worst officiating I have ever ever seen.

How many times does Chelios have to get his helmet rocked right off his head before they call roughing? How many times does that neanderthal Bertuzzi have to clobber someone (like Maltby) before he goes in the box? I know it can be part of ythe game, but man...I think it is a little excessive. Interference, tripping, etc...

Man, was I pissed. We still won 2 in a row, here is to 2 more!

Hey did anyone else hear about Vancouver's GM complaining to the big guys in the NHL? He was saying that they aren't being treated fair by the refs, can you beleive that. He thinks Detroit is getting favoritism. He wants his team to be treated like the Wings, so I guess we better start punching like Bertuzzi does. To me this sounds like something Crawford would say.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Crawford trying to go after Bowman

Frez just gave me the low-down on the Vancouver GM. I CAN'T BELIEVE anyone could see this the other way. I was just saying I'd be embarrassed if I were a Vancouver fan (God forbid!!).

Mario,

Brian Burke has had his head up his ass for years. It's funny that Cherry was on Ron McLean's (a sometime referee) case for being to harsh on Burke during an interview, when this same clown (Burke) makes these outrageously inaccurate statements about the referees.

He's trying to get the sway in the officiating the way that Milbury did for the Islanders, he won't get it though, because the Isle, unlike the Canucks, are a New York team.

Still him saying that Bertuzzi always has two red shirts stuck to him, implying the Wings are double-teaming his skating Ogre. If there are ever two Red shirts stuck on Bertuzzi it's probably because he's holding their sticks!

Kick some whiny Canuck ass! :D

Well all those comments Burke make only fired the Wings up last night - shutting out Vancouver 4-0!

Check out Mitch Alboms column in the Detroit Free Press this morning as he kinda rubs it in Burkes face...heh.

For some unknown reason, in a news conference Wednesday, Burke went off on the Wings and the referees. And I mean, went OFF.

He insisted that his team was getting terrible calls, that his players were being mugged, that Henrik Sedin was getting "his face washed" by a "scrum" of Detroit players, and that behemoth Todd Bertuzzi was "wearing three red sweaters" because the Wings were so busy tackling him.

He also accused Dominik Hasek of flopping like a fish, and reminded officials that his goalie, Cloutier, was easy to identify, because he was the one in pads, standing up.

Actually, Brian, on Thursday, Cloutier was the one without a mask, sitting down.

But why quibble over details?

Perhaps Burke is mad over Pistons fans booing Canada's national anthem. Perhaps he simply woke up on the wrong side of the border. Whatever the case, we should accept what he says with great care and sensitivity, because he is, with all due respect, out of his mind.

Bertuzzi is being mugged? Isn't that physically impossible? Like the Lilliputians dunking on Gulliver? As for Sedin getting his face washed? He must have been pretty clean, then, when he scored the game-winner in Game 1. And if the refs are so slanted toward Detroit, why three straight penalties in less than five minutes? You did see that, right, Brian? In the first period?

Or did you have your head in your hands?

Enough. Finish this. Let the man go on vacation.

Perfect:D . I couldn't have said it better myself..

And Ken, the only red jersey I saw Bertuzzi wearing was Hasek from taking him out in the crease!!

Thank God this idiot's not the director of officiating anymore! The guys got a worse set of eyes than the officials in game 4!!

Winning a round after losing the first 2 games only happens 13% of the time. 4 straight wins sends the Canucks packing. Who is up next?

If LA beats Colorado, they're next. If Colorado wins the series, St. Louis is next.
