Islanders GM Mike Milbury was believed to have been fined an undisclosed sum yesterday after his tirade against the on-ice officiating in Game 2 of this series with the Leafs. Fines of this nature are not disclosed by the NHL, but Milbury's comments — he used the F-word 26 times in a rant Sunday to reporters — were strong enough to warrant a fine of anywhere between $1,000 and $10,000. "It was made very clear to Mr. Milbury that his comments were inappropriate," NHL senior VP Colin Campbell said in a statement released through a league spokesman.

Who did not see this coming? ;)

I'll say this in Milbury's defence... the officiating has sucked arse in these playoffs.:mad:

Inconsistant, bad calls, and just plain stupidity.
