Story on Canoe (http://www.canoe.ca/Slam010917/nhl_tor1-sun.html)
Here's an excerpt from the story:
The Maple Leafs' annual intrasquad game, usually a
tame affair, saw star netminder Curtis Joseph get bowled over, an
intent to injure charge levelled at defenceman Petr Svoboda and some
other near misses, crease scrums and stickwork.
Sounds like the rookies are literally fighting for positions, although some veterans (Roberts and Manson) decided Petr Svoboda need to be taught some manners.
Let's hope the Leafs vs Habs game tonight at the rock is as lively. There is certainly enough history there, with Les Glorieux having something to prove.
