A truely awesome skate. We only had one goalie, but everything went well. I had a really good skating week. I think it was being on the white team:D . Anyway, we need to switch the teams up a little bit for next week. I think everyone should have black and white jerseys just in case. I can't figure out how black kept winding up short-handed when they had three extras on their bench and us whities had one. Some of the newbies are going to have to switch teams to even things out a little bit. I had fun, but it was a completely lopsided affair!!!

I agree, had a great skate!

We were short handed pretty much the last 45 minutes of playing time we had. We lost 2 people off our team which kept us with 1 player on the bench and 4 people on the ice. Apparently the White team liked playing 5 on 4 as I kept saying we were shorthanded and lets play 4 on 4.

When we are in the dressing rooms next week lets try and break up the teams to be fairly even. We pretty much know the playing abilities of all of us now. Lets team 'em up pretty even - hell, I'll even go out and get me a white jersey so I can switch up if I have to.

I'm still having a helluva time out there - I just think I could have even MORE fun if I was on a team that wasn't so lopsided.

Teams should be comprised of:

Great, average, beginner with only 1 puck hog allowed per team ;)

Well it was a great skate to start off with. I'm one more game away from burning my black jersey though. I am having a hard time skating for about an hour and a half. And Tom you little cheap shot scab :D keep it up and you are going to be hurting:mad: i'll run you down like a runaway train. Then we can start calling you roadkill. You little scab.:D :D :p

Yeah, these teams need to be split up. I'll tell you, being on the white team for a change was awesome. The whites didn't realize you had players leaving early. We thought you's were just taking long coffee breaks on the ice. What we should have done is change up the teams earlier in the skate.

I definitely agree with you Frez, everybody should come prepared to play for either team. It's not fair to anyone that all the newer skaters are on one team, especially the newer players. Playing all together isn't cohesive to learning and improving.

This is an easy problem to fix. We roll the teams around. If it doesn't work, we send guys to the locker rooms to switch jerseys.
Try to come prepared next week with a white and dark jersey...

By the way, as usual it's 11:00 - 1:00

I was actually about to go switch to a black jersey when you had that guy wearing red go over to the black team.

I don't care what colors I wear, as long as that hack-artist Vince is wearing the opposite.:D

Hmmm... Since the Ranger's won't be playing after this week, maybe we can recruit some of them...

Nahhhhhh... I hate puck-hogs.;)

Hey P.J., you should come down for a weekend and play!! God knows there's not much to look forward to for a while. Same old story there; they pick it up at the end, it starts getting LATE, they they totally fall apart. You need to dump Sather and Lowe.

Anyway, if you want to come down for a weekend and skate, Frez will let you in to his roommates house:D

:D :D Bring some comfortable shoes:D :D

That was a GREAT skate. I scored my first "pseudo goal" (thanks to Tom for teaching me how to get the puck off the ice and thanks to Mario for reminding me not to dump the puck every time I get it.) and I skated better than I ever did before despite falling on my head twice, 85% accidentally checking Tom into the glass and later getting slammed into the boards going after my own wide shot.

I am sore as hell but I can't wait until next week. I will buy a white jersey on Saturday if I go to have my skates sharpened.

Can't wait until next week!!
