Patrick Roy got ejected during the third period of the game against Phoenix. A penalty shot was awarded to Kolanos of the Coyotes after the referee ruled Roy threw his stick to stop a shot. The game was tied 3-3 at the time and when Phoenix scored on the penalty shot, Patrick Roy smashed his stick on a goal post, threw part of his stick at Kolanos, then cried to ref Dan Marouelli for calling the penalty shot which got Roy a 10 minute misconduct, then a game misconduct. Colorado lost the game 5-3.
What a role model Patrick is, he teaches kids if you don't get what you want, kick and scream and throw stuff, whine and cry till you do. This is what makes watching him so fun. I hope he has some spare diapers and a crying towel to dry his tears. I wonder if coach Bob Hartley gave Patrick a spanking for acting like a two year old.

What makes Paddy so good (and I defy you to even begin to say that there is any better, if you even begin to suggest Hasek I will just laugh at you, get serious) is that he cares about how he plays and he lives for the game.

I'm not makeing any excuses for his actions, I don't agree with what he did, but I can understand it, and I admire his devotion to the game. He is a passionate guy, so what.

Hum, Foppa on the mend, Hejduk on the way back, Hinote to be returning soon....

peaking at the right time... me thinks so....

I didn't know this was a goalie contest, so to suggest someone better than someone is irrelevant. The point is Patrick Roy is a hothead, someone that gets upset easy. He is known for hacking players with his stick much like Billy Smith did during the Islander cup years. He too had a short fuse like Patrick and would take penalties for slashing and roughing. There is a difference between having a passion for the game and taking dumb penalties. Ed Belfour was alot like this in his early years too. Patrick is a great goaltenter as his record speaks for itself, but his puck handling is terrible. He likes to trash talk and makes a fool of himself too often. When he makes a glove save, he has to hold it up in the air for all to see as if nobody has ever done it before. When he lets in a goal, he's always looking around at the other players as if they were the ones at fault, cause he thinks he never makes a mistake, but we all know better.

Say what you like about Paddy, I like him. Sometimes you have to belive you are the best to be the best, and if acting like you belive it helps, ... go for it.

Don't even begin to compare Paddy with that crack ass punk from Dallas who isn't half the goaltender paddy is. "Eddies better..." yeah, at snorting lines but not much else.

Oh and they are peaking, or will be shortly,..... watch and see.
