Well the Devils took their turn to lose a big game today as the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Devs 4-2...I thought the Devils played good enough to win but took some bad penalties in the third period...But as Constantine said in the post game interview, there's no time to cry about it as they have to get ready for the next game...Hopefully the team learned a lesson that will allow them to do well in this final stretch...The Florida Panthers are next!...

Some bad penalties?
"I don't mind playing the game tough, but every time he (Holik) loses the draw, the stick is in someone's face," said Brind'Amour, a 13-year veteran. "I've played the game a long time and I don't remember ever high-sticking anyone in the head, let alone doing it over and over."
No penalty was called immediately, and an enraged Brind'Amour responded by chasing Holik around the ice, cross-checking him several times to earn a minor penalty.

I wish I saw Rod chasing Holik around the ice trying to kill him, that would have been hilarious. I have no love lost for Holik, who in my opinion, is dirty cheap-shot artist of the Claude Lemeiux ilk. Of course, if the dirty-bastard played for MY team... ;)

Holik also broke his stick over the Canes' net posts. He was mad that a hooking penaty had not been called against him.
Brindy took 7 stitches from Holik's shot to the face.
Quote from Brind'Amour
“It’s been tough,” he said. “My face keeps getting in the way. Good thing I’m married. I’m going to get into radio, not TV when I’m done.”
