Bettman coming to Raleigh to make announcement

HL commissioner Gary Bettman will visit Raleigh on Tuesday to make an announcement. Carolina has been seeking an All-Star game.

Hopefully he will announce we will get one, and if so, I will do my damndest to get hold of tickets

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is visiting Raleigh and it expected to announce at a 2 p.m. press conference today that the Triangle will host the 2004 NHL Draft.
The Canes said in August they had been told to prepare for that date and if those plans aren't finalized soon, the NHL runs the risk of losing the hotel rooms it has blocked for June 2004.

I look forward to the draft coming to Raleigh and plan on attending it. Hopefully the All-Star game will follow in a few years.
