Well, it sure wasn't pretty. Shanny got his fair share of chances in this one. I didn't like anything about this game accept maybe the timely goalscoring ability of Federov. I almost hate to say this but in the first two periods, I don't think I've ever seen Lidstrom have that bad of a game defensively. Don't get me wrong, offensively, he ended up with three assists but he looked lost out there early in the game. He came around in the third period. It just goes to show you how good this guy is. As long as he's been here, this is the only time I can recall mentioning that Lidstrom didn't play well.

Don't get me wrong, the Wings had plenty of chances tonight, but they have to start shooting more often. Everytime they could have ripped one in the first two periods everyone was trying to make a pretty pass. Finally in the third they started shooting. I'm glad to see them win another ulgy one though.

Lately, the Wings are playing down to their opponants and played another lethargic game yesterday - albeit they came away with 2 points, so i'll take it.

Look for a good game against Colorado this Saturday - Colorado has lost two in a row and almost were shut out for their 2nd straight game again yesterday too.
