Shayne Corson and Darcy Tucker asked coach Pat Quinn to remove forward Jonas Hoglund from the squad's top line (http://www.canoe.ca/HockeyPlus/puckmaster.html)
A Toronto radio station reported yesterday that Leafs' forwards Shayne Corson and Darcy Tucker asked coach Pat Quinn to remove forward Jonas Hoglund from the squad's top line.
The report on The Fan590 was backed by two players, but no names were given.
Corson denied the report.
"Whatever was said is a bunch of lies," Corson told The Toronto Sun. "Nothing like that ever came out of my mouth and I never heard anything like that come out of Darcy's mouth. It almost makes me laugh because Darcy and I consider Jonas a good friend."
I wonder if that's true. I had really hoped the Leafs could have suckered someone into picking up Sundin's talent-challenged friend. I hope Quinn gets him off of the first line and the bench by the time the play-offs roll around.
