JOE NIEUWENDYK and JAMIE LANGENBRUNNER to New Jersey for JASON ARNOTT, and RANDY McKAY and a first rounder to DALLAS

Looks like it's been approved by the NHL.

My thought on this trade... "WOWZER!"

This changes the make up of both teams, talk about your major shake-up.

All this does is change the make up of the two teams, neither team just got a whole lot better (on paper there isn't much you could realisticly do to improve them) but it should change the style of play a wee bit on both sides of the deal.

I like the deal for Dallas in the long run, Arnot is one of my favourite players.

If the change of sceen sparks a little revival then it will be good for both teams and make them a whole lot nastier to play in the first round of the playoffs.
