Panthers D Robert Svehla to the Maple Leafs for LW Garry Valk and RW Tie Domi.

Some teams, including the Leafs, are calling Svehla's bluff that he will retire if the Panthers move him. The Leafs heavily scouted the Panthers on the weekend, and desperately need a puck-moving defenseman, so it stands to reason Svehla is their man. The Panthers want to get tougher under the Mike Keenan regime, so they would want gritty Valk and extra-gritty (and expensive) Domi, or equivalents, in exchange. This deal has many complications, but if Svehla is convinced to go north, it might just happen.

Florida can have Gary Valk, but if they trade Tie Domi I'm going to be seriously pissed-off.

Ya, DOmi has become somewhat of a familiar figure in Toronto...

... but I still think he's a goon... :D :p

LOL! Imagine Domi and Brashear on the ice at the same time!! LOL!

Brashear plays for Philly. You must be thinking of big Peter Worrell. I think Fla already gets enough PIM's as it is. They already lead the league in major penalties.

Yeah, he's there. But he gets hurt a lot. Which is too bad because he's tough as nails. They also have Wiemer and Ferance.
