After next year, the only way to watch a Red Wing game will be on Fox Sports Net. Fox Sports just purchased all the Television broadcasting rights to the Wings. I'm wondering if they are doing that all over the League?

Here is the story:

I can catch about 90% of the Pens games on Fox Sports Pittsburgh... there are a few others that get scattered on the weekends on ABC toward the end of the year...

Also the occasional ESPN National Hockey Night game...

The Canes tv deal is with Fox Sports also. I wonder if Fox is trying to do their own Hockey Package, weren't they in a pissing contest with center ice?

Since they'll own exclusive rights, the only way for ABC to get a game will be to buy it from Fox...I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Ready to see some Dodge commercials?

Actually ABC/ESPN get 8 games right off the bat and Fox Sports will get the 74 games to broadcast. However now Fox Sports won't need to share those 74 games with UPN-50. Local stations also only get the first 2 rounds of the playoffs - the rest go to the Network (ESPN/ABC).

We pretty much only get to see canes games on television. every blue moon a local station will ccarry a game, but that hasn't happened this year.
