After that dismal performance in Buffalo, I thought I'd take a look at the upcoming schedule. They really have a good schedule to close out pretty much the entire season from this point on. The next couple of games are:
3-13 vs. Edmonton @ Home (7:30). Edmonton's one of the teams that tend to give the Wings headaches. I think we'll be looking at Legacy between the pipes after that Buffalo game. Whether Hasek likes it or not, he could use a little rest at this point as much as Legacy needs to get some time. I hope the Wings are ready to re-commit to the D. We've been so spoiled this season, I'm not used to seeing them lose. I'll be focusing on Tom Poti in this game. I think he's a great 2-way defensemen with one hell of a slap shot but the Edmonton fans have been less than pleased with his performance this year. I gotta give the nod to the Wings in this one, I'm sure Edmonton's aggressive fore-checking will create some powerplay opportunities for the Wings which will spell disaster.
3-16 vs. Boston in Boston (3:00) What can you say about this one other than we have to help Toronto by beating the snot out of these underachievers!! For a while, I (and not I alone) thought this could be a Stanley Cup preview. Since, Boston's shown us all what they're made of.
3-17 vs. Rangers in NY (3:00) This is one that I'm REALLY looking forward to! I can't wait to see these teams match up. Don't be suprised if you see Blackburn start this game. I don't think NY wants Richter to get embarrassed this close to the deadline, just in case. I hope Lindros will be back by then.
