Looks like Hackett will be out til next season, after injuring his shoulder for the second time this season. His choices are either an 8-10 week rest, or a surgery with a 3-4 month recovery.

J.T. will get the job done, whether they'll trade for another goalie or bring one up is gonna be the question. With all the talk of how well he was playing before the olympics, I'm suprised he wasn't starting in front of Hackett anyway.

Theodore is more than capable of holding down the fort. If I was Mtl. I'd bring a kid up and let Theo do his thing and pray that he doesn't get hurt.

I agree without knowing what the contract situation is with either one of them, I don't know their position. If they have them both long term, they'd have to trade after the season. If they're not, I'd bring in someone.

Theodore WAS playing ahead of Hackett. WAY ahead.;) He's gonna be a Vezina candidate this season.

There was talk that the Habs were going to trade Hacket to a team that needed a goalie. Now that plan is gone.:(

They brought Garon up from the Citadelles to back up Theodore, but I don't see him getting any starts.

The injury is going to make trading Hackett pretty difficult in the off-season. I know he's signed at least through next year, but they don't need to have his salary sitting there as a backup.

Okay, so he was on display when he got hurt. I see. What is the deal with goaltenders this season? Man, it's a zoo out there.

Yeah, it's crazy. At one point early this year, BOTH of Montreal's goalies were down with injuries.

I'm sure that's the game plan for Carolina. Usually, that means they want a player they have nothing to give to get. Is it just me or does it smell like a New York, Carolina and St. Louis package? Maybe St. Louis would be interested in Weeks or Barrasso heading into the playoffs. If that's the case, it's gotta be Barrasso, they need a guy who can and has won!!
