They do a good job on some things, a not so good job on others. Here's how I feel they could improve their network:
1. The scroll or "Crawl" at the bottom of ESPN2 and sometimes on ESPN is poorly done. Way too many irrelevant scores. Get rid of the women's scores and toss out the unlined men's games. No one gives a sh-- about these games so why waste the space?
2. Ever wait for a score to come up, only for them to go to a commercial break, and then when they return, they go straight to the top 25 scores. Another big mistake. Maybe they should watch CNBC, where the stock prices continue to be scrolled even during commercials.
3. Get rid of these announcers who scream and get too caught up in the tempo of the game. When I hear this crap, I either turn the channel or turn the TV off.
4. Uninformed anchors. How often have you heard a Sportscenter anchor refer to an "upset" when in fact the team that won was favored? Happens every single day.
5. Too high an opinion of themselves. They talk about the ESPYs like they are as significant as the Oscars. Pleeeeeeze. Try and build up your own meaningless award a little more.
6. Way, way too much hype for this upcoming movie. I've never seen anything hyped so much. For what its worth, all the reviews I've heard are very negative, and John Feinstein, who wrote the book, blasted the movie.

I agree with you on MOST of these points. I think a bigger problem your missing is their programming choices. They cover more womens billiards and curling than hockey. If they played one hockey game for every ten college hoops game, I probably wouldn't be so annoyed. If I ever get rich, I'm starting my own sports network and I'm calling NSWSTV (no sh!tty womens sports tv) Oh yeah, and I wouldn't have anything to do with basketball either!!!

YES! It took me over 15 minutes one time to see the score of a game I wanted to see! They could atleast start off where they left off when the come back from commercials! Argh that annoys the hell out of me!
And the station is basically garbage now because of the stupid COLLEGE basketball Crap. Basketball is garbage.

Oh yeah you guys know what's up!!!...*LOL*...I've probably thought about everything that was mentioned in this post...And it isn't just ESPN and "The Deuce", it's the same with MSG and Fox Sports...Just when you're hoping for a great hockey game they end up showing some frigging basketball game!!. And now that's it's March!!!...Forget about trying to watch hockey now guys...It's going to be 24hrs. a day of hoodlumball...Gangsta madness is what March is all about it seems...Hockey players can contribute to the community more than any other sport, they can show more sportsmanship than any other sport, doesn't matter...Hockey will continue to carry the label as being a bad/boring sport and to this day I can't understand why!!...Why is it when you mention hockey to some people they just get this look on their face and groan about how bad it is??...How they don't even want to hear about it...Most of them probably have never sat and watched a good playoff game...I guess basketball with is 5,000 time outs a game and a foul every thirty seconds 'cause a player gets touched on the arm has all the excitement...Whatever...I'm going to just stop this post now cause I'm JUST GETTING STARTED!!...*LOL*...I'm not even going to mention pool, horse racing, bowling, curling, WNBA, golf and all these damn sports talk shows!!...BORING!!!...And please DON'T mention baseball!!!...About the only thing worse than basketball is America's Boring time...Wait there is another thing worse, it's hunting and fishing shows...What the hell is that crap all about???...If you wanna hunt and fish, please go right ahead but I DO NOT want to watch it for a half an hour at a time!!...How do they manage to even fill an entire half an hour with that stuff???...*LOL*...*LOL*...Ok, I'm out...Later...

Ever watch PTI (pardon the interruption)? Everyday I wait to see if they are gonna talk about hockey, and they never do!! Well they have talked about Fleury twice, but that was it.
I think hockey is a sport that is better watched live(although its also great on the tube). I dont know of anyone who has actually gone to a game, who hasnt liked it. I got free tickets to a Nets game a few years back, so I went. I left at half-time....It was the most boring thing imaginable.
Nascar is another sport that is great when your there, but could be boring if watching on T.V.
Hockey is still growing, maybe someday it can be as big as Basketball here in America, but Im not gonna hold my breathe. Maybe ill move to Canada one day:)

In regards to #2, I don't know if any of you get ESPN News or not, but they leave the scores on the bottom during the commercials.

I agree with you guys about the crap like women's billiards and stuff. But leave the college basketball alone. How else am I gonna scout out the NCAA tourney if I can't watch the teams play for their conference championships? I gots to prepare for some serious betting action here!:)
