The NHL will have a media conference call with Washington Capitals center Adam Oates on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST.

I wonder what this is about???

I don't know what it is. To trade him now doesn't make too much sense to me, unless they get a natural center in return. He's a top 6 offensive player, but old as dirt. I'm not sure what they'd get in return. As far as granting him an extension, they've said they won't work on him until after the season. This is REAL interesting!!

I don't have any linkage, i got this off od the associated press serve, from their advisory. Sorry, it hasn't hit the streets yet. I do have a telephone # for reporters to participate in it, but that's all i have so far. I don't coer sports, but i am gonna see if they will let me listen in and if they do, i will let you guys know

Oh, that's lame. If I'm not mistaken he has an option year after this year. That probably means he want's them to pick up the option and next year will be it. Of course, I'm not positive that's the situation.
