From the NY Daily News... UGH...

Cynics, commence nodding your heads. Eric Lindros is injured already.
Defenders of his acquisition, relax. It is neither a concussion nor believed to be serious.
Lindros caught his skate in a rut and twisted his left knee during Friday's intrasquad scrimmage at Rye. He did not skate yesterday, though he rode a stationary bike.
Uh-oh ... Eric Lindros is already hurt.
Coach Ron Low said Lindros will not play his first game in a Rangers sweater tomorrow night in Detroit, as was originally planned.
Rather, presuming the injury is as minor as all concerned claim, Lindros probably will hit the ice for the first time in a Broadway blueshirt Wednesday night at the Garden, when the Rangers play host to the Devils.
By all accounts, the Rangers are being ultra-careful in their handling of Lindros. He stayed in Friday's scrimmage until the end, even jumping on the ice for the final seconds because the score was tied.
And neither a conventional X-ray nor an MRI were taken of the affected joint.
"I just tweaked it (Friday) a little bit," Lindros said. "There was some swelling and I wanted to give it a day to let it subside and hopefully skate (today).
"It's not that big of a deal really. It just happens every once in awhile."
Lindros suffered a series of knee injuries early in his career, missing 43 games over his first four seasons because of assorted sprains and one significant right knee ligament tear. He wears braces on both knees as a result.
